RR #8

I would take the red pill. At least I would like to think that I would take the red pill anyway. I don't really know what I would choose, but I would like to think of myself as being adventurous and not ignorant. I want to know what I want to do in life. Therefore, as I said before, I do not want to be ignorant. I think it would be exciting to take a pill and "magically" see what your life would be about, but at the same time you're taking a big risk. You don't what life is supposed to be like. You could end up being a billionaire. You could end up being "the one" like Neo or you could be someone that is starving and feels that they have nothing else to live for.
In the Matrix, Neo takes the red pill. When he is in the new world, someone tells him that they took the red pill and they regret that decision every day of their life. If you are content with who you are, and you don't think that there is anything else interesting in your life, I guess that would make sense to take the blue bill.  Some people just accept the fact that they are ignorant. I don’t think of myself as ignorant but maybe we all are.
I now understand this movie a little bit better. I think it is a well made action movie. It really makes you think while you are watching it and think afterwards about what you would do. It also makes you think if there is another place besides this.

RR #7

I really don’t get this movie. I also am confused at the blue pill red pill choice. I am going to try to talk about this the best I can with what I have gotten out of the movie.
Enlightenment is that you have a path in life set out for you before you were born. This is a part of religions. In the movie the Matrix, Neo gets told he is the one. That is Neo’s enlightenment in the movie. He chooses to follow that path.
In real life I do not believe in enlightenment. I think that you are who you are but I don’t think that someone higher than us has everybody journey set out for them. I feel that you should live your life the way you think best. It is not all put out there for you to follow. You have to make your own choices in your life.
Neo goes with his enlightenment by finding out more about his path by finding out about the matrix. In this movie he followed his enlightenment.

RR #5

You need to find yourself in life. I think that is just part of life. It is something that most people end of doing in life. That is part of it. Pain is gain. That is a common saying among people. With finding out knowledge it my hurt but I think it is still worth it. Pain is part of life. I cannot think of a single person that has lived without pain.
It may hurt but it will lead to a good thing in the end. Being happy and content with where you are in life is a good thing. You can accomplish a lot in life if you do. Everybody is unique. People are always thinking they are the best and put you down for who you are but it is ok to be who you are. Everybody has their opinion of what is right because we are an individualistic society. It is unfortunately in most people’s blood to be mean and pick on people. You have to push past the barriers and achieve what you want.
I think it is definitely worth pushing past the hard in life to get to the end. People are ignorant and don’t realize what you are trying to do. You can get where you want to in life. Pain is just part of life. You will have to decide if the pain of not knowing your enlightenment is more then the pain it will take you to get to the end.

RR#4

For my paper I am going to talk about why music should be in schools. I was in music in high school I am loved the experience. I think it is a good program to be in. I love music and making music. It is a relaxer to me. Playing an instrument and making it sound good is a really neat experience.
For band I played trumpet. I never practiced a whole lot at home but I was still pretty good. It just came easily to me. If I am in a bad mood I listen to music. It helps me relax and forget about things. I think that it should be an option for kids to do. From personal experience, I know it is not everybody’s favorite thing. I understand that, but some kids do and it needs to be there as an option.
In my paper I plan to talk about how it is a good relaxer. I also want to stress on the fact of how at my school there was also marching band. That gives you a lot of structure and how to work together. Concert band also gives you a since of working together. If the group of players does not work as a band, the music would not sound good.
The question I have for you is can I talk about how I know in studies they have proven music to help the brain be stimulated and use most parts of the brain since I know that from hearing it before? This is what I am thinking of for my introduction
Music is so beautiful and expressive. Why should we take that away from kids? I believe that music programs should be kept in schools. It is a good outlet for kids to relax and make friends. It also helps build teamwork. These are all things that you want kids to learn in school for the rest of their lives.

RR#3

Is it good to know too much? Or is knowing everything a great characteristic to possess? These two questions are two parts to a very difficult question to answer. I think that knowing everything could be a good thing at times, but, at the same time, I think knowing everything could be a bad thing sometimes. It all depends on what situation you are put in.
I think that there are times when knowing it all would put people in bad or unnecessary positions. One example of this is a child. There are some things that should have an “age limit.” (If you can call it that) There is a reason that we use the phrase, “a child-like innocence.” There are many things that children do not understand, and in many cases, that is the way it is supposed to be. In my opinion, if a parent of a younger child goes off to war, the child does not need to know exactly what war is and what is going on. Mainly, because it is too much for that child to fully understand and take in. There are other things that children should not know until they are older as well, but war is just one example. Knowing too much can affect adults too. There are just some things that are too hard or too much for them to handle. Sometimes people cannot handle that they cannot help other people directly and in short term. For example: my mom worked with someone in the70s who ended up committing suicide because she was upset she could not help people in Bangladesh. She just could not handle the pressure of knowing that people were hurting and she could not help. In those situations, and other ones like them, I think that it is okay to retain that innocence.
I do think that knowing everything would be a good thing sometimes too. I think it would be nice because people would not argue about things, because everyone would know the same things. They might still have different opinions, but what is known would be known by everyone. That would help to provide less chaos. There would be less confusion too. This would also help us not to repeat our mistakes as well! As I said, before knowing things could or may not be a good thing all the time.
